Antique chippendale style mahogany tilt top table, mid 1900's. Circular top with pie crust scalloped edge over finely carved splayed legs with floral motifs terminating in claw and ball feet. Ornate carving is very well done. Fluted carved pillar leads to a compressed ball unique to this style tea table. Table is in excellent condition. Top rests on an open style bird cage which allows the pie crust table top to turn or tilt vertically. The underneath latch has been replaced at some point, everything else in original. This very unique item can be used as a serving table, display table or placed in its vertical position to display the beautiful rococo style carving.
