Circa 1902, Symbol (bird over circle with intials F/M/S) indicates German Manufacturer Friedrich Mauthe, Swchwenningen Germany, circa 1902. Oak case with detailed rope like carvings and other detailed designs. There is a small amount of veneer missing at the bottom of the case on each side. Has original stabilizers. Front is bowed with beveled glass panels. Dial and pendulum are a burnished silver. Dial has a small crease across the face around 10:00. Two spring movement strikes at the hour and the half hour on a coiled gong. It has a deep rich sound.
